Terms for 1st time students & special cases:
We don't require prepayment or a deposit when booking first sessions for clients. In fact, when booking an introductory session (via our intake phone conversation) we tell clients that if their plans change, or they elect to pursue an alternative study option, just let us know (with as much notice as possible)
If indeed you cancel or fail to appear for your first booking, we may ask that you provide a credit card number to secure your appointment slot. If this second session is again missed or cancelled by the client, we reserve the right to charge for up to the full cost of the missed session.
General Cancellation Policy (for all others)
For others, we maintain a 24 hour cancellation policy: you may easily change or cancel your appointment online, or simply text us within 24 hours of your start date without penalty. The same 24-hour standard is applied to your tutor -- he/she is human too, occasionally gets sick, and will sometimes need to reschedule.
As above, in the case of last minute cancellations or no shows we do reserve the right to charge for up to the full cost of the missed session.
NOTE: All of that said, we hate charging fees and rarely ever do it. Simply talk to your tutor and part or all of any penalty levied may be waived. The discretion rests entirely with your tutor.
NOTE: Lateness is not penalized -- we always schedule a time buffer between bookings. Alternatively, we'll just tack on any missed time to your next session. Of course, when running late, please apprise us via text with an ETA.
